What is Reiki?
Reiki is a complimentary healing technique that promotes relaxation and stress reduction.
It is recognized and offered in hospitals and cancer resource facilities across the nation.
An unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us
to be alive.
This life energy goes by many names: Qi in China, Ki in Japan, and Prana in India and Chi
here in the western world. It has also been called orgone energy, elan vital, and is referred
as biofield energy by the science community.
If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if
it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Working with the energetic system of the body, Reiki balances and aligns, helping you
to connect with the Life Force within. Reiki is administered through the hands of a Reiki practitioner with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table. Hands are placed at locations around the head and shoulder, abdomen, legs and feet. Once the practitioner cultivates positive energy, it flows through the hands and into the clients body and energy field. A Reiki session feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that surrounds and fills
the client.
